On September 3, 2002, I went along with Jim McKnight, AP Photographer, on a photo mission
of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. We rode in the cab
of this work train down to a gravel quarry where the two hoppers were loaded with ballast.
We then traveled north and began to dump ballast.
It made for a fun day!
