An early photo of me and my Dad (location unknown - possibly around Vale Cemetery). On the right is me at a later age undoubtedly taken in Dad's favorite haunt - Schenectady's Central Park.
Here I am resplendent in a new coat and hat! The coat was most likely tailor-made for me by Dad.
On the right is a view in the former Pleasant Valley looking toward Broadway. The bridge is the old Cotton Factory Hollow bridge. This route is now part of I-890.
A scene in the early 1930's - Elsie and Alex Hay's grocery and gas station in Carman just past the grade crossing over the New York Central busy main line (four tracks!).
On the right is Mrs. Hay in the store. Note the clothing and hair style.
Two scenes of a young Randy enjoying his model motorcycle and Hess oil truck. The Christmas photo is dated December, 1972.
Dad getting the new model airplane ready to fly with Unk, Russ and Randy watching intently.
On the right is Shirley doing some gardening in May, 1973. The planting is next to the site of what was formerly a small pond for ducks and later goldfish with aquatic plants and water lilies. Note the long-gone lilacs in the background.
A family photo most likely taken in late 1957 at the home of Lou and Helene Vogt on 12th Street in Schenectady. From the left clockwise -
Fritz and Anna Hassinger, Frieda Maltz, Lottie and Alfred Harbich, Helene Vogt, Bob Rickles, myself, Shirley and Ronald Vogt, Alex Maltz. I assume Lou took the photograph.
On the right is a scene from Maine. The rocks look like the Biddeford Pool area but I am not certain, Maine tends to have a lot of rocky shore.
